ago. The third limb is known as Asana and the study of Asana and its
subsequent physical application of is known as Hatha Yoga.
Hatha Yoga is considered a gentle form of Yoga and is designed to
strengthen both the body and the mind. Hatha Yoga works on teaching
students how to control their bodies and their breathing, while exercising.
After long-term application of Hatha Yoga, a student can gain positive
health results.
Hatha Yoga also works on releasing built up energy within the body and
improving the flow of energy throughout the body. Essentially, the goal of
Hatha Yoga is to purify the body and re-gain a sense of balance. This is
achieved through a series of Yoga postures and controlled breathing
exercises. Hatha Yoga should be practiced at least once a week in order
